Default bore cleaning brush- for what???

Picked up 2 metal brushes that I presume are bore cleaning brushes.
They are 20cm long and approx. 35 to 37mm in diameter.
No dates, but they do have a manufacturers mark (un-readable) and a "Made in USA"

Any idea what they suit?
