Default Chev No 9 (Aust) body

It's a Chevrolet No9 (Aust) Field Artillery tractor body.

Will post some more info later, but I have a couple of these and am of course interested in it too!

Hi Kym,

So the front structure of the cab is there... just pulled out. That's a bit ugly... if you have a look on the front left frame under the windscreen there should be a Holden body plate with a body number.

Is that ever the pot calling the kettle khaki! In fact I'm thinking of applying to have your official moniker changed from "Salesman Bob" to "Border Raider Bob".

We're terribly trustworthy, Bob. You should see the respectful way I've treated your interview in YOTCSC.

You could be right, but he's a solid performer on TV too. Haven't you seen any of the "Year of" series yet?

Local ladies, eh? Nursing home dementia ward types, or the twenty-something girls?

Keefy - I've only ever "Border Raided" one truck and got caught doing it. Merely passing on information for other raids is just a Salesman Bob service. BTW when do I get my copy of YOTCSC?

Kym - glasses never showed up. Yes the radio bit was good but the station decided to change the morning format and cut out the chit-chat and all my good research. The most I do now is on Barry's Saturday Buy, Swap and Sell show. And yes I've heard you several times.

Bob

All I know is he does better than me both dementia type ladies & the twenty somethings.. Once again all hearsay.!! (He's gone very quite hasn't he.!!?)
I'll make it my business to track down the TV shows.. Have to be better than the football anyway..
But don't forget... Us South Aussies stick together despite giving each other heaps..

Bob ...Sorry to hear about the glasses.. Aust Post must need them.??
The Saturday Show certainly covers an area.. maybe they should do a WANTED bit and broadcast it into Victoria for us.???
You Know " Wanted Blitz any condition Pay better than local dealers.!!??" Maybe New South as well.. We may as well try for the lot..

Kym - don't forget the Murray Bridge Swap Meet in the morning. I'm off to bed now for an early start seeing as there are 16 Blitzs for sale including those two gun tractors.

On my way...

And yes you did get comprehensively sprung, eh? Just when you thought it was safe to venture across I caught you red-handed!

Not that I can talk re gun tractors in other states I suppose...

Oh well, we're all Australians here, no, wait I can go one better.. we're all MLU-ers. Far more important and impressive.

I must admit I was tempted to mis-use my moderator powers and change Kym's first two pics to Kombi-vans or something similarly harmless.

"Conspiracy to Border Raid" is still a serious offence, unless you happen to be conspiring on this side of the NSW fence!

Did you know why the TV Series "Underbelly" has been banned in Vic? Because it reveals locations of Blitzes in other states and could incite a crime to be committed.

Default Kombies

Hi Keefy
Don't knock Kombies. I just read an article, which of course I cannot now find, stating that there was a resurgence of interest in these vehicles and they were fetching top prices. A lot apparently were also being exported. Maybe I'll start border raiding these.

Hi Bob any bargains.?? I happen to know the Australian Army has used Kombies in service..
I saw one used at El Alamain Base near Port Augusta as a target.!! And I think I saw a couple for sale once ex Army..?? I suppose they were used to sneak up on the enemy as they were so quiet.!!

Default Bargains

Hi Kym
Just a couple of jerry cans WD 1945 & 1952 and an ex. military indicator arm in really good condition. I was impressed with the show, well organised and good food.
