Default WTB: Chore horse manuals, parts box and tool box

I am looking for the following Chore horse manuals:

1) Operators Handbook
Generator Set. Gas Engine
7610-21-102-2083
2) Instruction Book & Repair Parts list
charging set 300 Watts
Mk1 - British/Canadian
CH1 - 395-4 Can
CH1 - 395-5 brit
Model CH1-397-2
Out board Marine&ManufacturingCo.
Part # 400895

I believe that there were 3 manuals that I have seen. I may have all three covered in the above info. but...still looking for the manuals.
As well, a spare parts box and tool box for them.
Can any one help with this?
Thanks,
Doug

Default A starting point for chorehorse manuals

Have a look at http://www.royalsignals.org.uk/ Some have commented that they find the site awkward to use, but the price is right.

Default Chore Horse Manuals, tool box, and parts box

Grant,
Thanks for the reply. I am going to try for some origional pieces. The electronic is good as well, but want the origional as part of the kit, if I can get any.
Thanks,
Doug

Default Chore Horse manuals

Hello Doug,
I have done a nice reproduction of the Operator's Handbook for the PU-5008/U Generator Set (AKA Chorehorse) Johnson CHI-395-6. Book number 7610-21-102-2083. $12 plus applicable postage.
Plus lots of tune-up parts as well as tool kit boxes, tool chest boxes, original funnels, pull cords and some of the original tools as suppied with Canadian Chorehorses.
PM me for details.
........ Brian

Default Chore horse spark plug

Do you learned gentlemen know the correct spark plug for the chore horse. I suspect mine is the reason I cant get it to fire. I saw a similar OMC unit at a swap meet last week had a Champion J-6J in it but not convinced that it is the correct type.

According to the manual, the plug is identified as LV6/MT-750160.

I have a couple of plugs outside in my shed. If you can hang on 'til tomorrow, I'll post what the actual plug ID is.

Further to spark plugs for the Johnson chorehorse...

Champion XEJ-11 is what is in both my units, although I have seen reference to an Autolite SP 868 as well as AR8S and 76-152 (mfr not specified).
