Default Stuart Tractor

I think the reporter got a few technical bits wrong? Looks like the guy used a Stuart tank body and running gear, but grafted in the front end of a Grant, and used the 671 from a Grant and not a Stuart, which runs the radial engine?
Would that be correct as I see it, Cheers Andrew.

That’s what I see too, Andrew.

Nice example of swords into ploughshares, Mike

I was skeptical about that, but a quick bit of measuring in drawings in reference books shows that the lower hull of the M3 light and medium was almost, if not exactly, the same width, so it should be doable.

Default For sale on Gumtree

An almost identical machine was up for sale on Gumtree a few years ago in Queensland.

Seller wanted a King’s ransome for what was really only a collection of spare parts at the time.

Cheers

Phill
