Default WW1 Peerless Lorry

I am looking for the specifications of the Peerless Lorry used in WW1. Things like wheelbase needed to decypher scale drawings into a scale I can use. Any help welcome.

Default Peerless

Cliff,
I hope these may be of some use. The WB quoted is 12ft 7ins.

These did not scan too well, as they are slightly larger than A4,(originally foolscap size).

They are from a collection in the Bovington Tank Museum Library, I had a commision from them many years ago to do a series of WWI armoured cars etc.
I did the Peerless with the 3" AA gun. I no longer have my plans etc, or at least I cannot find them anywhere, but will keep looking.

I do not know where the models ended up, as I have not seen them on display at the museum.

As these scans are not too good, email me off line and I will rescan them in halves.

email me at george.dfs1(at)virginmedia.com

Am interested in what drawings you have, though not really my era, there are somewhere, details of the gun.

Let me know

regards
George.

Hi George. Thanks for that. I'll send you an email as well.

The plans I got on line were from this site http://www.landships.freeservers.com...aves_plans.htm
and were done by Ken Musgrave. There was a selection of different Truck models and I am hoping to scratch build in 1/35 or 1/32 scale a peerless to do a small diorama of one of the excellent Australian War Museum collection of photos. My trouble is always doing the wheels as I do not have a lathe to do the basic shape but I get there in the end.

Many Thanks for the help
