Default Krause Jeep Collection at Iola 2007 MV show

Greetings,
When Krause Publication founder, Chet Krause, sold his military vehicle collection a few years ago, folks figured he was done with the hobby. But, once a collector, always a collector! In the the last three years, Chet decided to put together a collection of military 4x4 1/4-ton trucks. At the 2007 Iola MV show, his collection was displayed. Photos of his vehicles (including a few rare birds!) are located here:

Hope you enjoy viewing his collection,

John A-G

Boy, isn't it though? A person can find a Bantam, GP or even an MA with a little effort (and a LOT of money) but to find the cj/v35u really is a diamond.

Glad you enjoyed the photos!
All the best from Wisconsin,
John

hi john

it seems to me that i read a story a while back that several v35/u's were found relatively close in proximity to each other. all had been used at some time by either the u.s. forrest service, or the geological survey, i can't remember which. it seem to me that these were found in one of the southern states, maybe georgia, but again, it's been a while since i read about them. in any event, it's great to see one more saved, but that goes for any military vehicle!!

cheers!!
mike
