Well, that was really interesting. For a while I wondered why the one guy was digging up the tree!! lol
The aerial guy ropes and chain links look the same as on the 19 set mast.

In one scene a chap is assembling the shorter capacity hat antenna , this has a four spoke arrangement on top of the mast .

Did you see the mobile antenna bend over as the Humber drove under the trees

The ground spike and ebonite B base were used with other sets eg 62 sets later in the war and post war . Tooles disposals in Wodonga had these golf bag canvas antenna sets , same as in that movie , but dated early 1950's . I bought 2 sets in about 1982 , in mint cond , the poles still wrapped in paper .

BTW one of those 8 cwt Humbers has been found in New Zealand . I know the owner , the vehicle is missing its bodywork from cowl backwards. I have some pics somewhere .

A Snipe? Love to see some pics of it. There was a really nice example in Normandy last June; Lovely vehicles.
