Default "GUNBOAT" for our Aussie contacts.

An article in the Sarnia (ontario) newspaper recently reported the start of a restoration project of a WWII Fairmile Gunboat.

(I'm looking at property prices and trying to justify moving to that area so I can be part of he project. DAMN! - geographically challenged again!!!)

It did, however, cause me to recall seeing a TV programme called "GUNBOAT" in my earlier years. Yes the earth was still cooling and you had to stand on one foot so the other could cool off, but I think it was filmed down under.

Did this really exist and if so, are copies available?

There was an Australian TV series in the mid 80's called "Patrol Boat", and a similar series has just finished called "Sea Patrol".

Of course, you might be thinking of McHale's Navy?
