Default Pre boot/rubber/clumbsy/ MkIII

No more pics but just to reiterate does anyone know if they were used in Theatre.

They look too practicle considering what I have to wear as "overshoes" as the subject aludes to.

cheers and thanks for any assistance I may receive....negative feedback better than no feed back.

hi mike

a while back i saw a very similar pair of boots at a flea market, and the vendor told me they were r.c.a.f. i should have bought them, or at least taken a pic or two and we could have compared them to yours mike

I believe they are called shoepacks. I have never gotten a clear answer of how common was their use. They aren't realy an overshoe, but an all weather boot. They were popular but rare I think, but there was a mixed reaction to then because of sweat being trapped in them. They are like current similarly styled boots and served the same purpose.
