Exclamation Looking for pictures and drawing of the Priest Kangaroo

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for pictures and drawing of the Priest Kangaroo. I have the Italeri kit and i want some reference pic and "in action" pics if possible. I tried a search with Google but I found only 2 or 3 photos...They seems to be rare...
Thanks

Luc, you've come to the right place - search for Priest Kangaroo on this forum.

Hi Hanno,
Thanks for the help. A little remark: i noticed on 1 or 2 pics, some 'roo has the vertical boggie wheel version. Was this common to the Kangaroo??

You're welcome.
As you noted, relatively few pictures are available, but both types of bogie were fitted to Priest SP Howitsers which were later turned into Kangaroos. Which type was the most common on Kangaroos would be a wild guess, though.

Also try asking the same questions on the Sherman Register mailing list.

HTH,
Hanno

Thanks Hanno,
After reading of the previous thread, I can say i'm not wrong if i put some artillery marking for the Kangaroo, as it says they keep their original marking, right??

Yes, 12, 13 or 14 Field. 3rd Canadian Infantry Division July 1944. Unit sign is red over blue, with white numbers.

Ideally, but not necessarily, change the final drive unit to a bolted three-piece one, and use vertical return rollers rather that the later ones included in your kit. Perhaps Bill Murray can help you with this.
