Default Today’s finds

Picked up a few different goodies this morning at a estate sale. The fella who the items belonged to was a wireless operator for the RCAF in WW2. He was a good artist I bought his old sketch book, it had some nice pictures in it. One in particular I really like, went and got it framed . Has a Spitfire flying and left hand corner is a picture of a pilot by the name of Major James with a A and diamond by it I am thinking he was a Ace. Picture was done October 1 1944.
Also his old duffle bag, a down filled sleeping bag, not WW2 but dated 1949. Also a aluminum canteen not sure if it is military or not tho. Stamped on bottom name of manufactured in Winnipeg. The cap on it is interesting almost looks like a radiator cap from a Bren carrier

Eric
