Default Boys Anti-Tank Bi-Pod

Greetings from NJ, USA!

I have an Inglis made Boys anti-tank rifle in .50 cal. Harmonica style muzzle break. A few pics attached.

It is missing the bi-pod and searching high and low and looking for one. The rifle has a different kind of mount/attachment on it - something I have not seen before. In any event I would like it back in original configuration.

Saw a few references here to these interesting relics and though I would reach out.

Anyone have one or know where I might find one? Many thanks.

I am jealous. I only have the BSA Boys rifle....the Inglis has eluded me.

Your adapter may be someones manufacture to mount on either a M2 or a M3 Browning tripod.

You are looking for a mk2 bipod, which is hard to find. BRP in the US has the mk1 bipods which were modified to mount on the vickers. Perhaps their poor condition ones would fit the bill if it is the clamp that is damaged.

If you really have your heart set on the mk2 bipod, Aleghany Arsenal has the right leg only.

Numrich has the bipod mount listed for a mk2:

Thank you SO much for this elusive (to me) information. The modified Vickers units look to be the right and complete units. I think, based on pics, just have to remove the ring clamp.

Well, it won't be the exact model bipod, but given how scarce these are I think I will put them together.

Default You are among friends

As a good Canadian, I have to apologize for no one having exactly what you asked for, ready and wrapped beside the front door waiting for a buyer. Next time as a nation we will be better prepared. However, our next best national resource is helpfulness. As you experienced, we freely share among friends.

But, never show up at the party without a case of beer. What can you teach us?

Your kindness is exceeded only by your patriotic pride!

Lets see.....topic is Canada and Militaria......

(1) I am a collector of the 1941 Johnson rifle. A large number were brought to Canada in the 1950s (Dutch surplus) and they ended up being sold into the US market. You guys ever see those up there? Very interesting design by which I am forever bedazzled.

(2) Big Dodge M37 (Power Wagon) fan. The Canadian military version is seen here once in awhile - larger engine than they used here in the US military. Great parade truck.

Best to all.

Hey Rack Grade , my name is Robert what is yours ? Up here in Canada we also appreciate the Johnson . As a matter of fact i am also a fan. I visited with the nice museum at the Crossroads in Virginia this summer and saw one there very well displayed. Kind of like mine except i have spare barrels and one of them is in .270 Win . Nice for deer season in november . O' Canada ...
