Default Hot Rodded 41 Plymouth GS Van

Looks like a butchered 1941 Plymouth military GS Van... roof hatch has been filled in.

Default ex-military

He preserved the underbonnet nomenclature - painted around it. No doubt about the origin with that present.

I wonder what happened to the original engine?

Default Hot rodding old cars

I think it is safe to say the MLU crowd are preservationists with extreme prejudice for originality. This Plymouth would not meet our standards. Except it is back on the road. Someone is driving it. Someone has put a lot of effort into its restoration. When the vehicle is out in public, there will be questions and conversations had. Is that a bad thing?

There is a fellow on Youtube (Frankentank) who took a derelict Universal Carrier and gets plenty of attention for his creation. Is his work any different than our likes and support for the MLU'er who has made a replica pre-war light tank on Universal running gear? Nope, and that's not just because I was privileged to have a ride around the field at Odessa last summer.
