Rear Cargo Bed 1940 Chevy WA LRDG Truck I.W.M.
Hello All,
Would anyone know the width of the "C" channels used on rear cargo box on the 1940 Chevrolet WA Truck ? There are 4 per side and wonder if they could be 2" wide? Any details about the construction would be appreciated, thank you. |

Can’t provide the dimensions you’re looking for, sorry.
But here are some more photos of this truck: https://survivor79.smugmug.com/MILITARY-VEHICLES/LRDG/

Rear Cargo Bed 1939 Chevrolet WA...
Hello Hanno,
Thank you very much for the link and reply... The link has amazing high resolution photos that I will use for reference. I thought for sure that some of the guys already involved with this type of project before might have posted the answer... 2" seems to be in proportion, I just wanted to be sure...I'll make it work! |

Most people who have restored/built LRDG replica trucks have chosen the later 1533X2 Chev. Thats probably why no-one seems to know the measurements of the earlier WA or WB Chevs. However I think there is a restored WA Chev in Australia and another in France, so maybe those guys can respond?
