Default Meticulously preserved World War I bunker

“Tucked within an icy mountain lies a meticulously preserved World War I bunker.
Climate change means we can now see it.”

Default

Two thoughts jump to mind:
Although it was more sheltered than the muddy trenches of the Western front, I wouldn't want to have spent a lot of time living/fighting there....
If melting snow/ice revealed the bunker, will a continued melt and exposure destroy it before it can be fully documented?

Default Race against time…

Once things start to thaw out, they will decay quickly.

It reminds me of the WW 1 trench that was unearthed when a new road was constructed. The archeologists had to race against time to excavate the site. Luckily they were able to recover and ID some missing soldiers.
