Default Mornington Peninsula Residents

Hi all, just wondering if there are some CMP restorers/owners living on the Mornington Peninsula who would be interested in getting together to talk CMP's.
I'm between bases at present till I get a place for my project to be undercover. Never restored a vehicle and usually pay a mechanic 'when' I get the car serviced. I'm retired so weekdays are fine. Also interested in VMVC. Would be interested in an introduction and car pool to meeting.
Not sure if this is protocol but my personal contact is 0414645853
I'm not sure I know a lot, but I can lift heavy weights.
Cheers Tim

Hi Tim
I'm not on the Peninsula but there are lots of us in the general Melbourne and surrounding areas, and there are a few of us with Field Artillery Tractors, but mostly either Marmon-Herrington or the Australian No8 and No9 variety, as well as most of the other models used here including 15CWT and 60CWT versions.
One of the good things about a CMP is it's relative simplicity. Also good thing you have not yet wrecked your back, that will be a side 'benefit'.

Ha, ha, thanks Kieth, so I can expect some aches and pains working on these things? I expect the odd headache too???

It will be good to join this band of what seems merry men...
I had a great chat with Tony Wheeler yesterday, of course sadly I was tooooo, late to offer a hand when the wrecking hammer fell, sad loss, but as I think someone wrote, cannot save them all!!! But it looks like you blokes have given it a fair shake over the years.

The good news for me is I've just been advised I have a lease on a property in Pearcedale, which has reasonable shedding to make a start on things. Just got to maintain the momentum.....

You may not recall but we have met briefly in your office for me to receive a Chev manual. A couple of years ago. I've also met Euan briefly.

Well I will say, I'm envious of anyone with a GT, always seemed the epitome of a CMP. But as I've posted earlier who wouldn't fall for the pugnacious beauty of these vehicles???

Hopefully I have the chance to meet some of you fellows in person.
Cheers Tim

Hi Tim you will have a ball playing around with these things, I know I have.
I'm in knox so not miles away, you welcome to come buy anytime if you wish and have a look at what I have come up with although i've got a Ford. I'm also a VMVC member which seems to have a good group of blokes
