Default Restored Italian M15/42 & AB41 2008

... last weekend was held an reenactment event in Aulla, Toscany, Italy.

I just found those pics of a fantastic restored Italian Tank M15/42 and an Autoblinda 41. They were driven on public roads!

Pics are taken from here and here.

Great to see those rare beasts on the move!

Thanks for the pics.

H.

P.S.: Foxes seem to attract foxes!

Indeed Hanno.

The M15/42 restore is amazing but, is it just me or is that one of the most unrealistic places to fit jerry cans? The glacis plate!

... here's a short video of the Autoblinda 41/43. Nice engine sound!

And there's the Sherman trying to park.

And the last one: Sdkfz 251 on public roads.

Well considering its an Italian tank that is the best place for them. Why place them on the rear end when that end is going to be facing the enemy most of the time.

Maybe they're bumpers not jerrycans? you know, for a bit of delicate parking. Thats why they'd be on the side too, just in case it was rolled of a truck by a certain Aussy tank owner!
Why is it every second Jeep has US stars plastered on the bumper? Surely the amount of Generals required would have outnumbered the GI's. I have seen this habit has now passed on to at least one Austin Champ here in Aus, which would surely be pushing the boundries of belief. (a touch of the Agent 86's...."Would you believe....")
Did like the little Fox in the last pic though...
Rich.

The "Bonsai" tank is not a French one but an Italian "L3" (presume that the "L" is not the short form for LARGE in this case). It was not a real tank but only a tankette as it was built by many nations in the early 1930ies. Thought to be a "moving pillpox / MG-stand" as support to the infantry, the Italian propagande made TANKS out of this tiny vehicles...
...later on the British propaganda counted the as TANKS as well ;-)
