Default M548 TLC gun ring legs.

A friend has purchased a M548 Tracked Load Carrier but in a previous incarnation it was used by a mining company and the military fittings removed. Have acquired the ring and a single front leg but nothing else.

Also looking for a LHS door top.

Would even consider outside Australia if shipping can be arranged.

I sold a ring with all three legs a bunch of years back. I believe snowtractor from this forum now has them. I know he needs the ring, but may not need the legs for his application.

I have some small bits and pieces for the trolley hiding about in case your friend needs any.

Default M548 Parts

I have a bunch of NOS axle arms for the 548 , and a transmission housing and Fan, although I did use one fan as an extractor in my paint booth!, Any use to you?

Hi Rob

AFAIK there are 4 legs, two at the front and two at the rear arranged in an inverted V so they almost look like one part. My mate has the ring (the sad thing is that when he bought it a few years ago the vendor had the legs but he didn't get them because he couldn't imagine needing TLC gun ring legs.)

Andrew I'll ask the question.

It could have been 4....it's been a few years.

I talked with snowtractor about them tonight and while he got the ring, he did not get the legs. That means they are with the fellow in Saskatchewan who bought them from me. If you don't have any luck in your part of the world, and want to go further afield, let me know and I can see what I can do.

Thanks Rob

We have found some in the US, but the company won't deal with Orstraalyans!

Even get the impression that they only deal with US citizens or companies, so you Canadians may also be out of luck!

That is due to the ITAR controls. While they will not ship to us, many will ship to the border where we pick it up and bring it through.

So many of the effected items are things that nobody really gives two hoots about, but the fines for ignoring the regulations are so huge that the companies won't take a chance shipping direct. Even ebay (tries to) make sellers of military vehicle parts claim that they will not ship internationally.

Its quite sad really, we find the same with green radios. The US sites won't sell even the Vietnam era radios, but you can buy the same equipment out of Israel without a problem and most of it probably came as US foreign aid.
