Default C15 cab on a C15A?

Can you make a C15 cab fit on a C15A chassie?
I heard once that the rails are closser together on a C15 or it just that the springs are mounted differant?
It's just that I have noticed that A C15 has these bigger wheel arches inside. The floorpans must be differant.

On the C15 and the C15A the frames are the same from the front bumper to the back of the cab. From there back the C15 gets wider. As for the wheel wells, the 4x2 models could turn sharper so needed more tire clearance. Therefore, the two wheel drive cab would work on the 4x4s but not the other way around.

Jeff,

From the thread my C15 restoration I learned:
Quote:
The C15 chassis measures 36" between the outsides of the frame rails whereas the C15A and every other Chevrolet CMP measures 34" between the outsides of the rails.
This pic gives a good overview of the C15 chassis:

Talking Motor???

Hey Hanno.....where's the motor....oh that's right it's one of those Chev thingys.

If you save enough money you might be able to afford a decent V8 for that thing instead of that lawnmower motor.

hahahahahaha
