Bren Gun Carrier
To whom it may concern:
I am not certain if this vehicle is for sale, however it may be worth investigating. The carrier is located on hwy 552 E north of Heyden (Sault Ste. Marie ON) The condition of the vehicle in 2003 was moderate to poor it sits in an open field at the left side of the hwy. halfway to Searchmount north of the Ranger Lake Road. The real bad news is the carrier is on the property of a whitch coven and the owner is the daughter of a vet who is of the mind that carrier in its present state is a memorial to her father. One can only hope that this relic can rescued before it is to late. Wishing you the best in a potential rescue. Mark Reaume |

At this point you write the person's name and address - another hint. There is no '@' in the address. Finally, you get to put a stamp on the envelope. This is something that you have to pay for with cash because Paypal won't cut it. Now comes the incredible part. You put all of this into one of those red boxes on the corner - the one that you thought was there to keep the newspaper boxes company. Every now and then a red truck will pull up beside it and empty the contents from one bag to another. Give the whole process some time and that piece of paper, wrapped in origami, with pen marks all over the front and a decorative sticker in the corner, will be delivered to Angus, regardless of where he lives!!! All of this without the intervention of an ISP, no mega-mail servers, no T-1 line, nothing!!! Of course, by now the carriers remains have rotted into oblivion. You might want to try phoning him. A telephone is an outdated device used for.......

Sardonic, ironic, iconclastic, thematic, contemporaneously applicable...the gist of which is most probably lost on the under 30's. What a concept... A personally written missive..."My dearest Penelope, it is with great trepidation that I take pen in hand to write..." Could this communication form be revived, or do we keep on paying higher postage prices for stamps? (.51= .01 delivery, .50 storage).

Don't be so tight.....
Shouldn't complain about the price of postage......
In order to send you this important message I have to suscribe to AOL at $24.95 a months plus $35 for Videotron which is the only source of High speed services around here........ Spent all this good money to have Clive pull my chain....tsk tsk... Bob

There's a great story of a Canadian War Correspondent (rumoured to be Charles Lynch), who, on releasing his carrier pigeon to carry his D-Day report back to London, saw it circle two or three times before flying directly towards the German lines. Shocked at this unexpected avian behavior the WarCo stood up, shook his fist at the departing bird and yelled out "you..., you,... traitor!"

NO worst than....
....tripes..... kidney pie....... calves brain..... sweet bread..... or prairie oysters........ come to think of it.....lobsters.... bottom feeding barbottes.......
Hell creton are not so bad and they taste real good on fresh bread and a little salt and pepper..... Heck next year I will make a batch for you guys to sample.... For all our off shore members who are probably getting hungry reading this........ Cretons is made from the leaf lard that is found in the belly cavity of a nice young pig and is wrappeda round the kidneys area. one side of a pig will yield a one inch thick slab of fat about 10 by 15 inches. It is cut in small 1/2 inch cubes and rendered into its own fat...... one side of the leaf lard has a very thin membrane which becomes very crunchy when deep fried in its own fat. Two pounds will yeild about one cup or less of 1/8 or 1/4 inch little crunchy tidbits...... you have to remember that has the fat is released in the cooling process it gets spooned off...... At my house we mash the little bits into a paste and adda tine bit of clove and cinnamon, salt and pepper and refrigerate over night. Served on fresh French crusty bread they taste like pork roast drippings but much nicer....... Known for giving you heart burn and raising you cholesterol level off the chart......
