The seller is also the seller/maker of the plates to adapt a late 216 / early 235 style water pump (the version with two holes in the backing plate and the front of the block) to later 235 and 261 engines (the water pump located within the block rather than in front of block and head). I believe he is the maker of all adapter plates sold by Jim Carter, Obsolete Chevy, Chevs of the 40s and others. I was satisfied with the transaction buying an adapter plate from him on eBay.
He is also a regular contributor of info on these engines on stovebolt.com

Default Pal Nuts - Still available

Hi Scott and Grant

Glad to hear the Chevy Pal Nuts are being sold on e-bay price is not bad for the trouble of finding stuff like this.

But they are also still available from sources like NAPA Part# RFD PN42X Rockford cost $.29 per, less if you buy a bag of 100.

Grant, for laughs could you check on line and see if Canadian NAPA has them listed?

Cheers Phil

Using the part number RFD PN42X from the US site and entering it in the part number search field on the Canadian site came up with "no result" on first trial. I may try again later.
Also, my impression is that the Canadian Web site just isn't as useful as the US one for finding parts (even if they are cataloged parts).

Default Thanks for checking

Hi Grant

Thanks for checking Canadian NAPA like most of the parts systems has it's idiosyncrasies, the NAPA Prolink system, intended for commercial accounts you can actually check the local stores stock. Is different from the consumer side the information is not even present in the same format in all cases.

Sourcing parts is such a case of where you are, which makes people showing their location country in their profile so useful.

Cheers Phil
