Default Wanted - CY-2577 (for PRC-77/AM-4477)

Am trying to source a CY-2577 the power supply adapter for the AM-4477 "range booster" for the PRC-77 set when used with an AM-2060.

Anyone have one or information on a source of them would be appreciated.

Diana

I've been trying to source one of these for several years. Even the Israelis from whom I got the 4477 don't have the 2577.

In appearance, it looks like a 25/77 battery box but apparently it has an attached cable which is necessary to power up the amp.

Thumbs up

Stuart...if your gonna make "a few" of these wannabe 2577s, I'll buy one from you. You could make a couple of bucks and make a couple of MLUers quite happy.

Just think...using a 25/77 with the booster and working 6m!

Chris...I'm just about to start thinning out my radio stuff (except for a few items).

If you see anything in my sig line that might interest you, drop me a line.

Bear in mind that sig line in no way represents all my holdings.

Stuart

Count me in for one of the batch of 2577s if you go ahead. I am a licenced amateur radio op so do use my mil gear, but at present my vehicle restos don't leave much time for researching and building radio stuff.

BTW I have 3 radio trucks from 3 different countries.

In mil radio gear I have:
  • Larkspur C42
  • Clansman 320
  • Clansman 349
  • Clansman 350
  • Clansman 352 TUAAM etc
  • RT-524 - MT1029/AS1729
  • PRC-77 (2) - MT1029/AM2060/AM4477/AS1729
  • AWA F1 full kit (Aussie Mil HF set)
  • Thomson 300/4 (French HF set similar to Clansman 320)
  • AB-155/U 40 foot masts (2) with wire dipole.
I also have a number of civvy Codan HF sets which are also used by the Iraqis and Afghan police and military

Stuart

Any plans for the power adapters yet?

The booster looks a little obvious without a battery pack.
