Default Whatever happened to Lulabelle?

I was watching that pathetic 1995 remake of Sahara the other night, the one with Belushi in the lead role, and it got me wondering about the post-movie fate of the M3 Medium Lee 'star', Lulabelle.

I think it was cobbled together by James Swan for the movie, which was shot in Australia. Anyone know where the tank went after that?

Good question! I don’t know the answer…
Will see what I can dig up.

It ended up in the Canadian War Museum. A well travelled Lee!

Default Thanks

Thanks Hanno,

I think that must mean it went initially to Jacques Littlefield, and was then included in the swap he did with the CWM, but our Canadian friends no doubt know more about that than me.

Seems logical, as James Swan regularly supplied vehicles from Oz to Mr Littlefield.

Default Lee

Lulubelle is one of the CWM's more-close-to-a-runner than not vehicles. It was out in public at one of their Awesome Tanks public demonstrations a few years ago.
