Default Tow Hooks

I am looking for tow hooks like the ones in the photos. They look to attach with three bolts. Probably agricultural or industrial original application. Also looking for pintle hook like this one or a reasonable facsimile with the loop for a rope.
Thanks,
Barry

Default Pintle hitch

Hi Barry, If you know of anyone with old industrial equipment on their property, old road graders may have a hitch similar to what you are looking for. When I was working the City here at one time had a 1970 Austin Western grader that still had a Pintle hitch with the loop on the latch for a rope.

Barry,

I found this site: http://www.ntractorclub.com/cgi/view...anuals&th=5985

It includes the attached description of the hitch.

It seems Holland is still producing similar hitches, but there are some visual differences.

See this link for the modern production: http://products.safholland.us/sites/.../cp-400-h.aspx

Best of luck in your search,

Colin

Thanks everyone for taking the time to reply.
Stefan that looks like exactly what I am looking for. It says you have two in stock. Is there any chance you have a left and a right or are they both rights?

Paul that is a great idea. I never thought of graders having pintle hitches.

Colin I am a member of that forum and there is lots of Ford N tractor knowledge there. I also have that brochure and all the many times I read it I never picked up on the Holland name. Funny how you can make the same mistake over and over. The industrial tractor in the photo seems to be the only one in existence and is in New Zealand. There is an internet photo of one in a movie painted yellow and used by the US Airforce.

Gordon those style hooks may be the answer if Stefan doesn't have a set. The tractor will be a clone anyway so not historically correct.

The Holland hook referenced by Colin is common enough that its on ebay, not dirt cheap though at nearing $600 Canadian.

Default Vintage powerwagon ....page 72

They also have something similar and cheaper with the rope release.
Both early Dodges and Internationals had a swivel base and rope release pintle
....old junk yards might be a source but nothing near TO or any other smelter center........ wonder what Rob Love would have????

Cheers

Nothing out my way for at least another 3 months....way too cold to be searching at the scrapyard. I did find one on ebay for a good price, but it is a variant of the model 400. : https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Pintle-Hitch...ba50%7Ciid%3A1

It looks like something the airforce would have used. If you don't have any luck by spring I will check the milsurp yard.

Well guys I originally posted this want add for two obscure items and didn't expect any success but didn't take in to account the power of MLU. I didn't even have a proper application, just some left over parts that Henry used up on some tractors. Not only did I get suggestions and insight into what I needed but I also got the parts. WOW. Thanks to Stefan and his great memory of the thousands of parts at LWD. The tow hooks arrived safely. Thanks also to Kirk Armitage for giving me a heads up about a pintle for sale on Facebook Marketplace in Waterdown. I guess I had better thank Janet also for following Kirk's direction and contacting the seller and making the arrangements. Jack Innes was also kind enough to send me another photo of and Industrial 9N
Ford tractor.
Thanks again
Barry
