Default OMVA Show Feb 7th

Start time for dealers is 7 am. Which means of course dealers only from 7 to 7:30 for set-up. Members from 7:30 on. Everyone else 8 am on.

The dealers don't get the "good stuff" from 7 to 7:30. They are busy trying to set up. Along with complaining about "Where's the coffee" (There is none)
All people bringing in parts should cover there tables. Grease and rust are hard to clean off.

Several people have mentioned no one phone and told them about the Show.
Please........phone your pals, both of them, and get them to the show. And check the MLU site now and then.

Peter S

Jordan,

I wanted to remind you - but I couldn't find my book - hahaha. With friends like you I don't need anemonies (get it - its a sea creature joke ).

It was good to see so many of the ususal suspects at the show - my hat is off again to Peter and the wonderful job that he does to facilitate our days of fun. Folks that don't belong to the OMVA sure do miss out on the good stuff.

Is it too early to ask who is going to the MVPA convention in Evansville, IN?

I would like to thank all the vendors that made the effort to attend. I know they make money and all that but it is a real commitment to show up. Andre Gibeault comes from Quebec, Chris from the faaaar north and so on. Brian Asbury only comes from up the street but he still has to load and unload all that stuff. It is fun to sit back and watch people as they arrive. We all say a few quick hello's but cut them short while we take that first race around the tables to find that elusive bargain that no one else has spotted yet. Then its time to visit the old friends and saunter back around the tables and have a proper visit. My only complaint is there were no donuts to buy. You can't imagine how much Peter and I suffered from that. Was Stewart really there or was that an ugly rumor?
Cheers,
Barry

Default Feb 7th Show update.

In my opinion we had a good Show. Not great maybe, but good.
For your information space rental is $315. It is not covered by table rental.
Should be probably be but isn't. More rentals would solve the problem but
we are now getting Militaria guys showing up which is good.
Dean Owen was there with a dump truck full of treasure.
And...I was pleased to see Brock Jolliffe. An old timer (he doesn't think so)
with some nice items. And Bob Phillips from Kithchener paid us a visit.
If we have a show at Oshawa in May maybe we could swing another Acton Show in late Summer. With a few vehicles this time.

Barry,

"portly", "rubenesque", or 'stout" - but not ugly. I was there, and even asked about your new truck when I was swapping plates with Brian.

Heck, I even brought Jim Rice so he could see you - maybe we went for lunch too early. The peameal bacon sandwhich was good, tho'.

If Peter can wangle a summer show in Acton we can see your newest truck.
