Default C15TA Ambulance interior photos ?

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is any on-line C15TA ambulance interior photo ? And I also want to know if any different exterior detail compare with normal C15TA armour truck. Thanks in advance.

Default C15TA Ambulance

Hi Bruce,

I noticed that C15TAA's had extended hull and the rear plate is totally different.
Two more questions:

1) You mentione on the web, this example was restored by a collector in Great Britain, but now lives in the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa, Ontario.
Can you please tell me whether it still on show and open for public ? If so, I may visit the museum in future.

2) According to "Canadian Military Pattern vehicles" website, the first C15TAA Ambulance (one of only two built) served with the RAMC both in the UK and West Berlin, until demobbed and sold in May 1958.
Does it mean C15TAA never seen in action during WW2 ? And it was used in post war only ?

Thanks & best regards
Kurtis

Default Wheels & Tracks #17

Kurtis,

The front cover of Wheels & Tracks #17 featured a great photo of that C15AA armoured ambulance. The story (inside back cover) said "Due to the cessation of hostilities production never gets beyond the first two pilot models". It was rescued from a junk yard by John Marchant of Milton Keynes. Elsewhere in the same issue the vehicle was offered for sale.

Hi Brain,

Thanks for comments. I remember I should be that issue of W&T, I have to dig it from my warehouse. Thanks for reminder.

Cheers,
Kurtis

Found some interesting WW2 pictures of the C15TA Ambulance, compiled by William Marshall:
