Default Are these the same as Ford V8 Temperture sensors

Hi All

Are these same as Ford CMP Flat Head temperature sensor? Looks like these are current reproduction on e-bay http://www.ebay.com/itm/1936-1937-19...E:B:SS:US:1123

Reason I spotted them is they came up on one of my ongoing search for parts for my Lincoln project which uses the big 337 Ford flat head truck engine.

Cheers Phil

That type goes into the left head when looking at the engine with the fan in the front. The right side used a sender that has two prongs sticking up on the end. Wire from the gauge goes into one prong and then a separate wire goes from the second prong and over to the sender on the opposite side of the engine.

Your gauge monitors the left head only as the readings are passed on through the right side sender. But if the right side of the engine gets too hot, it trips the right side sender and then it reports it own status back to the gauge.

Phil, try this.
They work for 6 and 12 volt as well, because the 12 volt system uses resistors in the back of the instrument cluster.
The double terminal sender is basically only an on off switch.
Regading your question, I'd say it is the same as the Lincoln one.
