C60 Power steering conversion
Has anyone converted a Chevy Blitz to power steering? If so what type/brand of system did you use. Not as young or strong as I used to be =)
Australian Conversions with local parts would be ideal.

Power steering
If you could locate a steering arm for the left spindle you could add a steering cylinder and valve on the left. Years ago a friend did it to a 1957 GMC pickup after his heart attack. He used a steering cylinder from a 1963 Chevrolet car. The only drawback was the steering ratio was slow due to the gear ratio of the manual steering box, but it worked well. I don’t know what you have available in your area, but it’s a start.

If you are web searching on other forums or vendor sites, look for power steering conversions for cab-over-engine Chevrolet or GMC of the immediate pre-war or post-war to see if anyone has made modifications or kits. I say this based on my impression that the CMP steering gear resembles that on the COEs. I don't recall seeing this done - but that doesn't mean it hasn't....
