Fight with the Canadian Forces

My my how things change...

It was interesting to see that now our government is running advertisements for the CF with a more approriate theme;

For how many years has the general public be duped into believing that the Forces were nothing but a group whose madate was to act as peacekeepers?
The public by and large have believed for years that our purpose and the capabilties and responsibilities to the World were that of policemen and babysitters and not those of a viable fighting force to be reckonded with.

Those of us that know our history realize that since the birth of our Nation, the Canadians have always been given the most difficult of jobs to the point of being sacrificed for King and Country time and time again. Much to the suprise of the British "superiors", the Colonials made a name and won some of the toughest battles that other armies failed miserably at...
Our Forces have a long and distinguished service history.

And with this I would just like to say that finally the Government is promoting the military in the light that it should be, that is as a fighting force. Check out the televison ads if you haven't seen them. I suppose it is just modern day propaganda to keep up the public moral concerning our warriors in the field but Bravo I say!!!
