Default petrol rationing ?

The pics here of Drouin in West Gippsland circa 1944 seem to show the main street with myriad vehicles . What happened to petrol rationing ? The mother has been shopping with the family car . Mike

My mothers cousin, Jim Shaw, was the General Manager of Petersville Milk Products for many, many years. He spent his final years surveying his collection of 7 Ferrari motor cars, not driving them but just looking at them. (and NO, I wasn't remembered in his will.)

Regards Rick

I remember the Peters Ice cream factory being in Wellington road , Clayton.

As a kid, my favourite TV show was ZIG and ZAG , they wore Peters Ice cream hats . Mike
