Military Buget cut
Has as far as parkas for cadets it is actual, but it is also for the rest of the uniform.
Unless it was changed in the past couple days their is a freeze on all uniform material. Personnelly I been the QM person for 13 years at a cadet Corps. We have been recycling cadet uniform all that time. Gilles |

Cadets, reserves, regular force......recycling used clothing has always been the norm. It was almost rarer to get a new parks or combat pant than a used one.

In the UK the cadets get everything apart from Boots, Socks and Sleeping Bags, but only basic combat dress. Also no clothing which has been in contact with skin can be officially reissued.
The Government likes talking big about the contribution the Cadet Force Movement makes to Society and wants to expand it into every School, but we are yet to see the fuding for this. |

It was inevitable that this would happen. With 60% of the Canadian Cadet Organization budget going into staff salaries, particularily at the regional headquarters level, something had to give, and as we all know, it never gives in at the HQ level. On the upside, the cuts and the review report may lead to improvements and efficiencies in the program.
