Hello, I am looking for a headlight mask for a 43WLC Harley Davidson as on this motorcycle.

The blackout shield for the WLC is very rare even though almost every WLC owner has found the sturdy and nicely labelled box in which they were supplied. I would say the only solution is to modify the larger blackout shield which is used on the typical Ford and Chev CMP's and Universal Carriers. ........ Brian

Jack.
I did got one in march in a show in the Netherlands. Yes masks are rare but the only way to get one is to go to show and promote your need. By the way, I am still looking for passenger seat supports (all of them) for a nice 42WLC..let me know if you have any contacts. Regards. Marc

Marc,
You might try Larry at 45 parts https://www.45parts.eu/ He is a parts supplier & runs a complete rebuilding shop in The Netherlands. I have found him very helpful. He may know where to find the parts you need.

Default black out cover

Is anyone able to post a picture(s) of what the correct WLC headlight blackout cover looks like? Or you can email me directly the pictures to dt969b@gmail.com

Thank you

Dan

Dan,

Here is an original mask. It replaces the glass lens in the regular headlamp.I am still looking for one but may end up making a replica.

Did you ever find one?
I was cleaning out my basement recently (a real 'labour-of-Hercules' afternoon...) and found the NOS one that I had for my WLC back in the 1980s (I think that I mounted it once for a photo-shoot and then put it away again.

This was - and is - NOS, with the exception that the underside of the ''hood' has been painted flat white. I did this under the instruction of my old mentor, WO1 Pat Smith, (who had ridden as a DR as a member of 1 Cdn Provost Company) who assured me that this was the first thing they did when they were issued with the blackout equipment.
I have no use for it, so...what's it worth to you?
