Ford numbered toggle switch
Hi all.
Im looking to try and track down one of the following switches. I only have a part # of C11Q-13746. I believe it is a "on/off/on" switch. Any help is much appreciated.

Is it that ball tipped toggle switch for the lights ? I will have a look when I get back up North ?
Does it need to be 100% genuine part of would you accept identical but aftermarket ?

Hey Richard
I really have no idea hence why I'm hoping someone has one and can provide a picture. It's used on the 10cwt trailer to flip between the tail stop light and the convoy light. There is such a variety of switches out there with either screw terminals or the femal sockets.

If it is an on off on switch, would it be the same as the fuel gauge switch of the CMP? (which is an on off on one)
The British carrier used a round (surface mounted) bakelite switch with a bakelite lever to change over from blackout to tail lights at the rear. I think this switch was also used on some of the smaller trailers for the same thing.

The F15A parts list F15A-01 lists part C11Q-13746 as "Switch assy. - tail and sub lamp selector. Used from serial #21566 with new design cab."
I haven't found other references to this switch, but will be perfectly happy if others can find alternate applications to prove me wrong. The following applies to a different switch, C29Q-13746, that I had in the lighting control section of a cab 13 instrument panel. It came with a group of Chev parts but could have been a Ford panel mixed in with the Chev parts. It was set up for 4 of the push-in pin type connectors. My notes didn't include what the electrical connections did or what position the switch was located in. I'm also not sure how much detail the basic part number gives about function beyond "switch". It has to tell more than switch or every instrument panel switch would be 13746 but I don't know how far it goes. I will try to find photos I took when I found it or take more. |
