Default Pulley

The picture looks like a 1939 or 1940 Ford car engine. It might be the same.

Default Part

Harry,

Is this the pulley that you're looking for ? If so, PM me. I've got an assorted pile of left overs.

Peter

Peter, the one you show is the wrong type. There are two different pulleys. One for the Mk1 , single belt as shown in Harry picture and the one for the MK2 which is double pulley and has re-enforced cast ribs on it, Cheers Andrew.

Default Thanks

I don't think there is a balancer on the hub I'm looking for and only a single pulley. In addition has anyone come across this set up before?

Default Housing ign

Hi; Looks like a water proof housing for the ign leads, on the front of a Ford V8. the distributor would be inside and braided ign leads attach to the housing. Is it Navy gray? Dave

Peter Duggan has the same set up on his Lynx. Send him a message.

Harry , the box you show at the front is for shielded ignition, to stop static interference for the use of the radio set, typically the No.19 set. The leads are of the braided type to the plugs. Also see picture of the two types of crank pulleys for the different model Lynx's., Cheers Andrew.

Run your parts book numbers and consider looking for the same water resistant shielded ignition assembly in the Ford Canada models of the Windsor carrier.

Default Shielded Ignition

Harry,

I was very fortunate to find an NOS setup including braided cables which David Good installed when he rebuilt my engine. I have had the points since converted to a Pertronix kit. The shielding boxes were great for hiding the new configuration. Ross's suggestion that the same components were used on the Windsor carrier certainly opens up the potential parts sources.

Peter

Definitly the one on the right! But I can see the advantage of the double pulley.

As the Windsor carrier would have the fan extension with double pulley it will need the double lower pulley. The lynx with the single pulley must have had a different upper set up and single pulley water pumps.
