Default C15a

I'm with Hanno, that looks to be a retrofitted winch kit and 2 speed transfer case. It has the Australian made front fairleads and is missing all the other rollers and bits you'd expect to find on a genuine CGT.

The Australian body (with extra sides) makes it desirable.

Default 15cwt

seems funny that it,s got helper springs and didn,t see two speed shift lever, or winch hand brake and the gap cab to body looks too narrow for toolbox tire carrier if rear body brought up to proper position.

Love the copy:

HERE WE HAVE AN OLD BLITZ CHEV 1941 (APPROX) STRAIGHT 6 TRUCK.

HAS A PTO WINCH,

TRUCK STILL RUNS!!

WAS BOMBED BY THE JAPANESE IN DARWIN DURING WW2

IS INCOMPLETE , BUT RUNNING.

GREAT BIT OF AUSTRALIAN HISTORY RIGHT HERE!
That would account for the missing parts?

This one has appeared on ebay before. Interesting to call it a nose cone - it's certainly the nose but anything but conical!

Default Ford Chassis

Once again an ideal buy, but as always.....too far away to pickup, and slightly too big to go through the post!

Stamps don't stick to well to rust anyway.

Default Bargain?

Hooray I can finally post again. *(after 18 months) The gods are smiling

To me that seems ok. At least you can drive it away. Not a lot to do, just drive home & register on Historic plates.

Ian.

Ex Blitz workshop body, which was probably transferred to a Studebaker US6, and then transferred to an Inter 6x6, which is included in the sale!!

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Australia...item3f1ebf1504

If you wanted the F1, I'd wager that it would have fairly low milage on it.

Tony, it's not so much a Tyre pressure gauge as an Air pressure gauge. It is dash mounted in the DUKW and monitors the air pressure in the Central Tyre Inflation System, where the Driver is able to raise or lower air pressure in the tyres from the cab, on the move. It is about the same size as a Mil Standard Speedo gauge.
