Default WANTED: Ford Blitz Cab Parts Wanted. QLD-Aust.

I am in need of both windscreens (and hardware), wiper parts, dashboard, and any other 'inside cab' parts for Ford Blitz. Also need good radiator grille.

I will try to answer any questions relating to parts specifics, BUT I am still learning the differences. Fairly new to these great old vehicles, but keen to restore one I just bought!

N.B: Would greatly appreciate making some good contacts I can call on for advice etc..!!!!!

Smile Welcome

Welcome to the forum Tony.
You have found the web's best site for information & fellowship in the world of the CMP!
Please post some photos of your project & we can help you with identification, and, maybe find some bits for you. I see you are in Gympie so you should be able to find someone nearby that can offer leads on locating all sorts of stuff.
I am looking forward to seeing more of your project
Cheers!
Howard.

Hi Cliff,

just looked at your user information, and believe I may have met you a number of times!
I work for Blue Care in Gympie. Remember me?
Also saw the photos you had taken of the Blitz trucks that WERE at Kingaroy.
Criminal that they were scrapped.......or I was told they were.

I just got the Ford cab and chassis today. Brought it back from Ipswich on a 'car' trailer.
The people I bought it from were lovelly, and I wouldn't be surprised if we keep in touch.

If you have any contacts that may be able to sell me parts, I would be most grateful!

P.S: Hello to Mrs H. Sorry I can't remember the Labradors name, but give her a pat for me.

Thanks Howard,

I can already see the benefits of associating with fellow restorers and appreciaters of historically significant vehicles. I have wanted a Blitz ever since my Father had shown me a photo of him next to a Chev he was driving in New Guinea (Rabaul to be exact).

Unfortunately, Dad is gone now, but the photo which appears next to my user ID is him in 1944. He used to say BLitz trucks were "as rough as guts" but were virtually unstopable and dependable. That's a good enough recommendation for me.

Look forward to talking to you in the near future. Will post pics when I can, or when there's something to show.

P.S: You don't know anyone wanting to sell passenger side (drivers mate) mudguard or windscreens by any chance. Knew I would need windscreens, but just decided a replacement m/guard was best.

Bye for now,

Tony Baker.

Looking for a set of windscreen frames for a Ford Blitz Cab 13.
