Thanks for that Mike. What a great list of manuals. Can't wait to see what else they put on it in the future.

Default Caution may be needed

This may be a CD that I have seen that had incomplete copies of the manuals and a set of photos of someone's re-enactment vehicle. I suggest that anyone planning to buy a copy of this disk confirm that all manuals are copies of the complete manual.

aj.lec (Andrew) will know shortly as I looked at the auction and it has ended and he was a lucky buyer. I also would like to know if it is a good reproduction.

Grant..
Although I am no longer in the manual reproducing business, and I have passed the torch to Joel Bellerose,I could never bring myself to produce CD manuals..
I am old school and don't work off a lap top when I'm doing repairs..I want that good paper copy sitting on the workbench where I can thumb through it and check out what ever I want or sit down with a cuppa and thumb through it and read what ever distracts me at the time..Nothing will relace the paper manual..

yes I am hoping they are good copies
Apparently 6 different manuals
$30 for 6 compared to $50-80 for paper per copied version makes a bit of difference though
I too prefer the paper versions to use but how far do you go
If it comes to it just print them out
I will let you all know when they arrive
Looks like there is another 5 available now

Default Please be carefull.....

I bought a CD from this guy and it is not worth the 0.99 cents for the blank CD he copied on......

The CD contains ONLY the pictures from part manuals..... the two CMP photographed in a museum somewhere are so heavily modified that a Hollywood movie prop CMP would look better.....

I was really Pi**ed..... but then I read his listing more carefully..... the seller knows what he is doing...... in his defence I will say this..... if you look at his other listings he probably does most of his business with modelers who would appreciate the pictures and have little use for pages and pages of parts listings......

I wrote it off as a learning experience.... if it looks too good for the price.... it's probably not that good.....

BooB
PS...... sorry I didn't vent sooner and save aj.lec some bacon!!!

I was sent a link to the US Army Heritage Collection Online: http://www.ahco.army.mil/site/index.jsp
I have browsed it only briefly, but it seems there is an extensive collection of manuals available online.

Hope this helps,
Hanno

CD arrived today
1534 pages
he covered the mb-c1 manual page for page and highlighted each photo but as for the rest of the manuals they are more of a highlight tour with a fair amount of pages missing
not too bad for an overview of major items
definately not for purchase if you want 100% copies of these manuals

just a bit of follow up
definately would not recommend buying anything off this ebay seller ( stg.44 )
Had a chip at him about not supplying what he advertised ,being extracts and not complete copies
His response was unnecessary and rude .He obviously is aware of what he is doing and how false his advertising is because it sounds like he has been chipped before numerous times

This one's new to me and I dont think anyone has mentioned it before - "Combibed Arms Research Library" or CARL at http://cgsc.leavenworth.army.mil/car...entdm/home.htm
Have not had time to look at even a quater of what's there - seems to be all U.S. - WW1 manuals; WW2 After Action Reports and more.

I have most of the interesting pages of the LVT-1 Alligator (Amtrac) TM 9-1794 on my server at http://202.63.50.228/gallery2/main.p...g2_itemId=2732
Click the 'full-size' in the top right-hand corner for the maximum size and save away.
Please note - my server can be slow and it sometimes crashes, be patient

Steve.
