Default Wrecks worldwide

Hi

Someone has taken the time to compile old tank shots from just about all over. In 4 videos here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MINy_WK8vQI

A Grizzly in Portugal? Cool.

I took pics of some of the tanks in Bosnia myself 10-12 years ago.

regards
Darrell

Default CMP Drive.....

Well ......I must admit Phil, you didn't look anything like I pictured you, after our telephone conversations.....however driving all that way and getting a parking ticket leaves one to question! Nice video though.....Robert

Default Has this shown up before on MLU

Hi All

Can not remember if this video has shown up before

https://youtu.be/7KJKB7UmcPk

Un-credited color film taken in Canada during WWII. Was following Rob Dekker's post about the promo for the Maritime Military Heritage Collectors meet and this came up as a suggested video.

Cheers Phil

Default YouTube Review of Mirror Model CMP F15A

Hi All

Just stumbled across this online review of Mirror Model CMP F15A

https://youtu.be/GOGWayRm0go

Interesting description of the history and origins of CMPS only problem is he does not show the assembled model.

Here is the link to the Mirror Model Web site http://www.mirror-models.com/

When I run out of stuff to do out in the shop maybe I'll have to look at doing some of the CMP models. After all that's how I got into military vehicle hobby as a child.

Cheers Phil

I got this kit along with the IBG kit of the Chevrolet C60S Petrol Tanker. I have being working on the two of them on and off for the past two weeks. The IBG tanker comes with both 12 and 13 cabs; however, photos show that this type of tanker should have an 11 cab. Also IBG’s 12 cab comes with square Ford style vents. So I swapped the cabs from the two kits and added the round vents to the 11 cab to turn it into a Chevy.

Default Ration Memories?

Hi

This You-Tuber seems bent on putting vile things in his body! The 1945 RCN Lifeboat Ration would be enough to put me off!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WrtJpgofAc

There's another fellow from NZ eating the yummy German EPA III and others more modern rats too:

https://www.youtube.com/user/KiwiDudeMRE/videos

He even takes a crack at some of the newer IMPs.

Default Things not to mother's and grandmother's about

Hi Darrell

Good one, just sent it along to my kids, fits right in with a running email conversation about how safe winter sports have gotten. No more sledding on shovels down hill onto ponds with open water as in the movie It's a Wonderful Life.

It's an email thread we have not been sharing with the mother an grandmother's.

Cheers Phil

Hi Phil

Hope the kids still have all their fingers, hearing and eyesight.

I found vid showing the russkis recovering sunken armour from the Northern Convoys wrecks.

VVSS Shermans anyone?

Hi

A youtuber with a nice channel that has plenty of Military Canadiana...mainly Air related. Each video is a good watch and educational as well. I did not know about the Sznycer-Gottlieb.

My back is sore just watching that video.

I have one of those 7.5 ton trailers, but seeing the crew of 4 is required to operate it, I think mine will remain unrestored.

A few comedic vignettes. I particularly liked the RAF one.

Default I have only one problem with YouTube from MLU

Hi All

I have a strange problem watching YouTube videos links from MLU on my tablet. For some strange reason they stick and become my YouTube home screen, meaning any time I open YouTube there it is again. Doesn't seem to happen clicking on links from other websites.

Not a bad problem, because most of the video links posted on MLU are pretty good.

Problem doesn't happen with my desk computer, but yes the last MLU link comes up there.

Cheers Phil

Default Steyr 1500A

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qg7jDKKYnfI

There was a Steyr 1500 located at Romsey here in Victoria , it was imported from the Czech Republic some years ago. I believe the Romsey vehicle has been sold onto another owner. Not sure if the vehicle in this utube video is the same Romsey vehicle. Does anyone know ?

The Romsey vehicle needed a full rebuild , it was missing the original rear bodywork.

A series of videos of Dutch volunteer firefighters. Usually at the beginning of the video, you can see a CMP based truck in the back of the firehall.
