Default In search of "Erich"

I was forwarded the name of this Firefly T228777, there is a photo of it, on page 319 in George G. Blackburns "The Guns of Normandy".
Does anyone know which regiment this Firefly belonged to?
Thanks for any help.

Cheers
Kevin

Default 5 RTR

Kevin

The official caption for PA-162413 reads "Canadian tank with German barrage showing in background. Ifs, France (vicinity). July 1944"

But I'm sure it is not Canadian and is instead British.

According to B.T. White in his book "British Tank Markings and Names"; 5th Battalion, Royal Tank Regiment named their tanks with the letter "E", 5th letter in the alphabet.

I can't prove 5 RTR but that's my guess. Other photos in this number range show a Cromwell and Sextons. 7th Armoured Division was in reserve behind 2 Canadian Infantry Division between Operation Atlantic and Spring.
