Maybe not, it's been modified and the original domino plug to replace the plate and flying lead with Jones plug will be difficult to find.

(Other than that it does look rather nice.)

Chris.

The only British set I've seen other than the one at Blandford was sold at W&P for £1000. It looked in nice condition and was complete with PSU etc. But it must have been well over 15 years ago.
The guy who sold it was foreign (Norwegian??) and he sold it on the stall of a wireless guy from Sussex who's name escapes me? I bought my aerial capacitor thingy from him. I'm sure Chris can remind me his name (Not the late Ken Champion who I bought my working 19 set from). Ron

That was probably the late Mike Spicer of 'COMBAT RADIO' .

Thank you Mike! It's been bugging me that I'd forgotten his name. Mike Spicer indeed. Ron

Yep like the one and only switchboard charging No1 unit that came up on ebay last year and sold for well over £700. I got "embroidered" into the bidding with a bid of £675 but it seems the guy who bought it was more than determined to own it and might have had a max bid of £1000 for all I know. I don't think we ever knew who he is? Lets face it, if you want a complete WS11, you can't wait for the next one to appear.....Unless you're quite young! Ron

That looks like original paint and there are no scratches from a mounting tray so it likely wasn't used in a vehicle.

Seems cheap though when compared to some far more common sets these days.

Yes I agree Tim. I wouldn't have been surprised if it had reached four figures. Still a long way to go to find the other parts though!

I'm more than content with my complete Ozzy set with all its remote units that cost nothing like that amount, even with shipping.

Gents, The guy who bought it putting it in a Humber armoured car, it's going to a good home to a fellow vehicle collector.

Thanks Ron.

It's for a Humber MkI LRC project that we've been working on for some time. I may have to settle for some dummy PSUs. Yes, the multipin plug may be a problem.

If anyone turns up any useful bits, I would be more than interested.

Les.
