Default My finds at the surplus store day!

I spent hours moving boxes & items in the collapsing building looking for the Hydra cooker folding stands but unfortunately didn’t find any (yet). I’m also looking for the cooking pot & lid for the Coleman 500 stove that it was also stored in but didn’t find that either (yet). I won’t give up but I did come across some other treasures that I was happy to find, bring home, sandblast, prime & paint and add to my collection.
The pictures will speak for themselves. My family always look at me like I’m looney when I come home with all this rusty mouldy stuff but my smile says I had fun. A good day to also catch up with Rob & Laun. I found some nice armbands. The White over blue armband I’m assuming is a signals armband? Not sure what it’s supposed to mean but somebody was smart enough to put an arrow on the back of it to show which way it’s supposed to be worn.
My most exciting find was the cable spool reels for my reel backpack I was looking for;

I found some wartime dated wooden tent pegs dated 42. I need tent pegs for my bell tent. Not sure these are them? We figured bell tent pegs would be bigger but I brought these home and will fill the bag until I find out more information on the bell tent pegs.
Also found a box of wool blankets but they must have been a prohibited dangerous device to release to the public so they felt the need to deactivate all of them by cutting them in half! Too bad, one was wartime with a C broad arrow. Hopefully the other half is there, I’ll be stitching that one back together.
And fry pans, who doesn’t want to collect frypans?

Found some carrier items. The track cam adjusters. 2 different thicknesses. The thicker one is 42 dated and the thinner ones are 43 and 44 dated. I sandblasted & painted them. Turned out nice. Will use them for trading material. I’m looking for a few more items for my carrier tool list.
Also found a towing hook. I looked for a long time to find a set for myself and now that my tow cable has them, this will be a trader as well.

And a few more items.
Was happy to finally fill my 1951 pattern binocular case with a pair of binoculars.
Also found a different style of grounding spike. 30mm dummy round. 1” flare round to add to the flare round box in the carrier. And a box of dummy drill rounds to add to the Enfield display.
