Default Sydney's Coastal Artillery

You know, it sure is nice to have this so close to where I live, and I have been out to the North Fort many times, both 'on the job' and for pleasure. A few pics to tease you all.....

Cheers,

Wes

Default Today's RAA

A few parting shots..... for now!

This is one of our L118/L119 Hamel guns. Aussie made, off the UK's light gun.

This configuation with the short barrel, fires the standard US M1 ammo. The other configuration with a longer barrel, is the UK design, firing the 105mm Abbot electricly fired ammo.

As an armourer, this gun is a RAEME nightmare for maintenance. However, it works well, and the Gunnies seem to like it.

Thats me on the right, doing a pre fire check. Taken at Singleton Sep 2003.

Ubique!

Wes
