Default Oil Bath Air Cleaner

WANTED!

United Specialities Oil Bath Air Cleaner C11AS-6766C for Ford V8. (Far left in picture).

This is attached to the fuel pump stand and was found on 12 Cab Ford CMPs, amongst other uses. It was also used on small motors like Onan and Wisconsin as the main air filter.

Would like one in any condition, the nicer the better, from wherever you are.

Hi Tony the middle one was used on 1942 Ford V8 engines in Australian (and other) Carriers They stopped the engine getting dusted. As you would know, a good engine sucks air in via the (useless) horse hair packed breather, on the right of your photo. This lets the dust in as well until the engine starts blowing out the breather.
So I assume the cab 12 have a captive nut arrangement in the top of the upstand? I cant recall seeing one like that.
And no, I don't have one so sorry. Have you tried Ajays?

Although the air cleaner is US made, it only seems to have been used by Ford Canada (> UK, Aus, NZ, etc) during the war.

I don't think any of the Ford parts retailers would carry stock as it is a Military feature, not Civvy.
