Default Canadian war establishment armoured regiment 30-11-1944

Dear all,

I´m looking for the Canadian war establishment armoured regiment 30-11-1944. I hope to use it to determine which vehicles (especially the support vehicles) were in use, in what numbers and how they were divided between the Squadrons and Echelons.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Edwin

Default m. Jean Bouchery's "The Canadian Soldier, From D-Day to VE-Day"

There is a fairly clear depiction of the vehicles in a representative Canadian armoured regiment on pages 18 and 19. From the fighting squadrons to the echelon. The tables are in illustration form with rows and rows of side-views of the various individual types.

Thanks a lot. I'll see if I can get hold of the book somewhere.

Edwin,

It does not appear that the War Establishment that you are searching for is available online, but the Library and Archives Canada entries are:

The Army Headquarters version of the file:
http://central.bac-lac.gc.ca/.redire...42993&lang=eng

The Canadian Military Headquarters version of the file:
http://central.bac-lac.gc.ca/.redire...78571&lang=eng

I have never attempted the process, but at the bottom of each page there are instructions for ordering copies of these files.

Colin
