Engine Decals
Just stumbled on to this seller on Ebay: jimenginedecals.
He sells decals mainly for small vintage engines but I found he had the decal that goes on the small oil bath air filter that is fitted to Ford side valves with PCV systems as per CMP vehicles. I have posted here a photo of a United Specialties NOS Oil Bath air filter with an original decal and his repro. Very close match, bar the bold type "United Specialties Company" on the repro. Have contacted him whether he has, or could produce the Ford Canada WW2 "Oil Conditioner" decal and the Ford Canada Air cleaner decal in gold and black which says "Made in Canada" as opposed to the more commonly available yellow and black air cleaner decals which says "Made in USA". Awaiting reply and will follow up with it here. Cheers,

Very Nice
I wonder if they are real decals or the modern peel and stick?

Engine Decals
Hi Peter,
They are the peel and stick according to his info on Ebay. Not ideal but, hey, better than nothing. A clever person could scan it and print his own waterslide decal from the repro however, if so inclined. Cheers,

PCV air filter decals and decal making
Over five weeks since I contacted the supplier but no reply regarding making decals for Canadian Ford V8 engines. As others have stated in this forum parts people are not always enthusiasts. Would be nice to just get a simple reply however.
I still bought a couple from him and converted them to waterslide type using my scanner and inkjet printer with good success. If anyone is interested in how I did it let me know and will post it in the restoration section. Cheers,

Would really like to know how to make water slide decals, at home. Sounds like a neat trick to add to restoration bag of tricks. Cheers Phil

Inkjet decals use a separate glue to hold them on but laser printed ones are like you get with plastic models. You just buy the decal paper and print your image on it then water slide it onto your project. With the clear decal paper you can't get white though. They make white paper too.

Will show finished product and how I made it in my "Blitz miscellany" thread. It will save clogging up this parts thread. Cheers
