Default Humber Mk II in the Netherlands East Indies

In early 1942 Brigadier Blackburn VC found some Humber II light reconnaissance cars in Tandjoeng Priok harbour and used them to mechanize his Australian Brigade "Blackforce" (2/3 MG Bn, 2/2 Pioneers Bn and a Guards Bn plus services).

From where did these Humbers come? How many? Where they later used by the Japanese?

Stellan, the Humbers of Blackforce were discussed in the thread Armoured Units of The Netherlands East Indies Army. I've always thought these Humbers were brought along by Blackforce.
Where did you read Blackburn found them in the harbour?!?
I can't recall seeing/reading about any Humbers in Japanese service.

Default Humbers

Yes Hanno, that I recall (despite reaching the age of 60 yesterday). But the questions: from where, how many and what happened were never solved.

The only thing I know for sure is that there is a photo dated 19th Feb 1942 showing a Humber in Tandjoeng Priok and that Brig Blackburn did mechanize his troops ad hoc.

Stellan
