Lightened Carriers for Airborne Forces
I have never studied this subject and don’t know what information is available from other sources but I just stumbled across this DTD Service Modification Schedule to “Lighten a limited number of vehicles for Airborne Forces”
The 21 pages of the document can be found at this link: https://heritage.canadiana.ca/view/o...2/1556?r=0&s=3 Colin |

Thank you, Colin, for sharing that series of documents.
IIRC Nigel Watson wrote on this in UC VOL II. There are also images of the carrier(s) prepared for the Arnhem drop, both before, during and after. |

These are very cool documents, new to me. Thanks for sharing!
Here you can find some detailed photos of this modification. I found them very useful during my restoration work. https://www.paradata.org.uk/article/...ber-1-mark-iii
