Unusual Ford Speedo
Most Ford CMP/MCP/Truck/LP Carrier speedometers are made by Stewart Warner in the USA. Here is an unusual one, made by VDO (possibly in Germany?)

Tony
Looks like a standard Ford truck speedo face from the period. It is VDO may be German Ford as they were the main instrument suppliers during WW2. Their first overseas factory was in Australia in 1957 driven by VW Beetle production (and high local content rules) there. Like GM, Ford continued to operate "under total German management". I will have to check but I believe Ford claimed the millions of dollars bombing compensation after the war like GM for factories "that had been fully transferred to German ownership and having no association with the parent company". The German GM story is very interesting, full of lies, double dealing and front-men - Oh how the money rolls in.
