FN20 Turret & Lancaster Rear Section on eBay

An Avro Lancaster rear turret and rear section is being offered for sale on eBay Item #5567016983. The turret does not include the machine guns but both sections have been partially restored.
Also being offered are various aviation items pertaining to WW2.
These items are from the collection of Bernie Salter located near Eastleigh, Hampshire United Kingdom.
Now comes the sad part. In this months issue of Fly Past aviation magazine, the fully restored cockpit of this Lanc. incl. the navigators compartment is pictured. It appears a German movie company according to the article, is in the process of purchasing the cockpit, in order to blow it up in a future film. A fund raising is being planned to purchase the cockpit for preservation. No purchase price has been disclosed.
I am not familiar with all of Bernie Salter's collection, but it sure makes one boil to see another piece of aviation history being threatened or possibly destroyed.
