What do I have here? No.4.
This one I know. It is a No.62 MkII. set dated 1956.
It was restored a few years ago but not used as I do not know how to set it up. What do I need to make it a listening set as I don't have a amateur radio licence. Regards Rick. More to come.

The WS62 is self contained in that it has a built in power supply. All it needs is 12 VDC to operate. Having said that I wouldn't power it up without having it checked over first by a radio technician. There are components that age and could fail and cause damage to the set.
If you don't connect a mic or key it shouldn't transmit but check with your radio regs about owning a set. Maybe one of the VK members can elaborate. |
